The Challenge

You did not start a business to manage IT

Most small business owners we meet are already the CEO, the HR department and the default IT person. When something breaks, fixing it falls on the same person who should be closing sales or running payroll. Either nobody is really looking after the IT, or you've got a one-person shop you call when things go sideways and their response times are luck of the draw.

In the meantime, cybercriminals do not care how small your business is. They target SMBs because they know defences are thin, and a single phishing email can cost tens of thousands in fraud, downtime or ransom.

How We Help

A local IT team that has your back

We act as your IT department, or an extension of it, so you can stop being the default IT person. We monitor, patch, back up and protect your systems. We answer your staff when they need help, call your software vendor when there's issues and help you plan ahead so you're not surprised by technology problems.

Flat monthly pricing keeps costs predictable. No long-term contracts. When you call us you reach a local team that knows your environment, not a call centre. Canadian cloud backups and a 60-minute response SLA come standard.

Common Questions

Small Business IT FAQ

Have a question that isn't covered? Get in touch. We're happy to talk through specifics.

01 How small is too small?
No size is too small to benefit from better IT. Fully managed IT does not always fit the smallest shops, but we can almost always put together a security and support bundle that makes sense, scaled to the size of your team and the risk you carry. The right plan for a three-person practice looks very different from a thirty-person firm, which is why we start with a free assessment.
02 What is the difference between managed IT and break-fix?
Break-fix means you pay when something breaks. Managed IT means we prevent things from breaking in the first place. With flat monthly pricing, we are on the hook to keep your systems running, and you know exactly what your IT costs each month.
03 Do you lock us into a long contract?
No. Our managed services agreements are month-to-month after an initial onboarding period. If we are not a fit, you can walk away. We keep clients because we do a good job, not because leaving is difficult or costly.
04 What if we already have someone doing our IT?
That is common. We can take over from an existing provider or work alongside an in-house person to cover gaps. We handle the transition cleanly and keep your business running through the handoff.
05 What happens if we get hit by ransomware?
Our job is to prevent that. We run layered defences, tested offsite backups and a practiced incident response plan that we can run tabletops against if your insurance carrier requires it. If the worst happens, we restore your files, email and accounting from clean backups usually within hours, and full system images the same day, without paying the ransom.
06 Can you help us move to the cloud?
Yes. Most small businesses we work with use Microsoft 365 for email, file storage and collaboration. We handle the migration from older setups, configure security properly and train your staff so the switch actually sticks.
07 Do you support remote and hybrid work?
Yes. We configure secure remote access, cloud file storage and identity management so your staff can work from home, the office or a coffee shop without compromising security.
08 How does your pricing work?
Flat monthly pricing based on the number of users, workstations and servers we support. No hourly fees for support, no surprise invoices when something breaks. You know exactly what your IT costs each month, which makes budgeting easier.
